Technical Description
HG Walls provides contractor-led façade design-assist and technical coordination to translate architectural intent into a buildable, commercially practical and performance-oriented envelope solution. The service can begin during concept/tender stage and continue through system selection, shop drawings, material approvals, fabrication, installation and handover, depending on the agreed appointment.
System Composition & Configuration
- Façade system selection, preliminary layouts, technical options and value-engineering studies.
- Glass/cladding selection support, preliminary member concepts, interface and drainage coordination.
- Shop drawings, fabrication details, BOQ/tender support, material submittals and method statements.
- Mock-up/testing coordination, site review, defect assessment and rectification recommendations where included.
Engineering & Performance Considerations
Design-assist should identify project-specific wind exposure, building movement, geometry, drainage, thermal/acoustic objectives, fire interfaces, access/maintenance and constructability before finalising systems. Value engineering should preserve required performance rather than merely reduce material. Interfaces between curtain wall, windows, ACP/HPL, roof, waterproofing and structure should be documented clearly to avoid scope gaps. Where calculations, independent certification or peer review are required, responsibilities must be stated in the appointment and performed/verified by appropriately qualified professionals.

Where HG Walls is also executing the façade, the service should be described as contractor-led design-assist rather than independent third-party consultancy.
QA / Site Acceptance Checks
- Controlled drawing/submittal register, revision management and response to consultant/client comments.
- Material sample/mock-up approvals, technical RFIs and interface coordination records.
